3. Too Much Napping
If you have older kids, you’ve probably been the victim of a late nap and subsequent late bed time. The same can be said for an infant or toddler that sleeps a little too much. It’s tempting to let your baby nap every time they are in the car or stroller, but you run the risk of them being wide awake at bedtime or even confusing night and day. Likewise, sleeping in an inconsistent environment doesn’t produce the best or most restful sleep. You may think your kids are getting enough nap time, but by the time bedtime comes around they are probably over tired from a restless day of napping on and off. Try and establish a consistent nap time routine- they are just as important as a bedtime routine!
