5. No Bed Time Routine
Just like your kids send YOU sleep cues, you can also send them in return to signal an imminent bed time. Kids thrive on routines, even if they are simple. Dinner, bath time, reading and then bedtime is a simple routine to help them understand when its time to go to sleep- no matter how old they are. Don’t you have a routine that you do before hitting the hay? If you don’t have a routine, your kids are left guessing and can feel like you are ripping them away from play time and be resilient to going to sleep. Establish a routine now, before they can tell time!
