2. Move Bedtime Up
Your toddler doesn’t want to take a nap? Fine then, they go to bed at least an hour earlier. If you continue your schedule the same as it was when they napped, you will have a toddler who is so overtired that getting them to actually go to bed will be a nightmare. Once they’re up in the morning, get them outside and expending major energy. When its nap time, put them to bed and leave for at least an hour. Kids need to know that that time is designated for nap time, even if they don’t want to take one. If you need to shove the baby monitor under a pillow to avoid the temptation of going in to shush them or get them up, do it! You want your napper back! If they get their nap back, then you can resort back to your old bedtime.
