We all have those mornings when we wake up, look at ourselves in the mirror, and think, “How the heck am I going to disguise how tired I look?” While being tired throughout the day is pretty awful, looking tired is even worse. You never want to have someone ask you, “Are you okay? You don’t look so hot.” Luckily, there are some great, simple, and easy makeup tips that can help disguise those tired, dark, baggy eyes of yours. So next time you wake up in the morning feeling and looking like you had a rough night, try some of these 7 makeup tips.

1. White Eyeliner

If your eyes are looking extra tired, try putting some white eyeliner on the inside bottom rim of your eyes. This will immediately brighten your eyes and make you look more awake. If you feel white is too bold and unnatural, you can also do this with a cream colored liner so it will look more natural, but still have the same effect.

2. Place Lighter, Shimmery Eyeshadow On Inner Eyes

A great way to reflect light off of your eyes and make them look brighter is to add shimmery eyeshadow to the inner corners of your eye. It will make you look more awake and will brighten up your face. Opt for white, cream, or taupe colors for this. The more natural it looks, the better.

3. Wear Mascara On Top Lashes Only

A very easy and simple way to disguise tired eyes is to place mascara on your top lashes only. By leaving your bottom lashes bare, all of the attention will be brought up to your top lashes instead of focusing on your lower eye where your dark circles and bags probably are.

4. Wear Bold Upper Eyeliner

Wear an extra bold eyeliner look on your upper lid on those days when your eyes are looking tired. It will draw attention upward to your upper lid instead of focusing on the dark circles on the lower lid.

5. Define Your Brows

If your eyebrows are full and bold, the attention will not be focused on your eyes, but rather on your eyebrows. No one will notice the dark circles under your eyes when they can’t stop looking at your full, beautiful eyebrows. You can define your brows with pencil or shadow to create a more defined look.

6. Brighten Your Face With Blush

Chances are, if your eyes look tired, your whole face does, too. In order to bring the attention off your eyes and focus it elsewhere on your face, wear bright colored blush on your cheeks. Try to use more peachy pink colors instead of dark or dull colors. If the pink is bright, it will brighten up your whole face, even your eyes.

7. Go Easy On The Lips

You may think it’s a good idea to wear bold, bright lipstick if your eyes look tired to draw the attention away from your eyes. Although your thinking seems logical, a bold lipstick like bright red will does not help fade your tired eyes from recognition because it’s too heavy. Instead, try wearing a lip color that’s soft and natural looking so your face looks bright, cheery, and awake. Don’t go for nude colors, but try natural pink colors so your lips look bright and natural.
