3. Make a list
Decide how far out you are planning to cook and make a shopping list. If you are not making freezer meals, then shopping for one week max is probably the best. The only exception to this would be if you are buying bulk canned items or meat that you will freeze and defrost later. The point to making a list is making your life easier! Check your cupboards and fridge before making a list so you don’t double buy items you already have, or miss something you assume is living in your pantry. If you have your grocery store layout memorized, you can also group items in similar sections together to make for a seamless shopping trip. Well, as seamless as shopping with kids can be!
