
3. Make One Meal
You may think you’re making meal time more enjoyably by preparing a special dish for Johnny, but in the end you are creating more work for yourself in many ways. You are conditioning your child to expect a meal that only consists of foods they “like” and ensuring that they don’t eat food you decide on their behalf. Help yourself out by preparing one family meal, and seek their input on a dish that you know they will eat. You are giving them some control, which in turn will hopefully result in participation in the family meal.
