Whether you like it or not, we live in a technological age. Most of the time we benefit from it, by having access to helpful things like GPS, self-check out registers at the grocery store, and being able to store thousands of song on an MP3 player the size of the palm of our hand. Other times you may be annoyed by its incessant intrusion on your life when you have children demanding time on the iPad, people trying to contact you via cell phone at all times and maybe even a garage door opener that has trouble opening because of interference from other devices (<— personal struggle!). You’ve probably come to realize that moderation is the key to embracing technology, and in fact, it can be quite educational for your children! Ultimately the decision is up to you if you will allow your kids screen time, and there’s nothing wrong if you decide it’s not right for your family. 1. Watch Disney Jr.
This is a personal favorite in our house! This is a free app with all of your toddler’s favorite Disney Jr. shows. As a free user, you will have limited access to with fewer episodes, but they do update the content every now and then. If you have cable, you can also log in to the app and get TONS more episodes, as well as interactive games and “coloring” pages.
