4. Rubber Glove Giraffe
On rainy days when you want to work on a craft with the kids, but you don’t want to drive to the store, use items you already have around the house. A rubber glove, for example, can be used to make a giraffe finger puppet! A yellow glove is ideal, if you want to stay the traditional route with your colors. But a blue or different colored glove would make your giraffe super cool and unique!
Head over to There Was A Crooked House to learn what you’ll need for making a glove giraffe puppet.

5. Animal Pom Poms
Now, before you start getting all mushy inside over how cute these animal pom poms are, let me warn you. This project does take time and patience. If you have those two things (and who doesn’t on a rainy day?), this could be something to keep you and the kids busy all afternoon. And the result is an adorable set of animal pom poms that you can hang just about anywhere!
If you want to spend your rainy day playing with yarn, head over to Mr. Printables for the detailed instructions on making these.

6. Recycled Rhino
Isn’t it great when you can recycle household items and turn them into a craft project? Case in point: a rhino made from an empty peanut butter jar, dixie cups and paint. This is definitely not a glamorous project, but I bet your kids would love doing it! Not only can you spend time together making a silly animal, you can teach your kids the importance of recycling and use this project as an example of how it works.
