7. Potty Pops
Whenever I tell my daughter we are going to the bank, she says “yay, lollipop!” Which is why I’m going to be using some “potty pops” when we decide to buckle down and conquer diapers. Many people don’t like using food or candy to motivate children to use the big kid toilet, but trust me, your kids won’t be heading off to college expecting a sucker every time they go to the bathroom!
If you need this in your life, then head over to MomVsDesignSchool.blogspot.com to see a tutorial on making your own potty pop holder from scratch!

8. Potty Jars
If you feel like your child would respond well to receiving a reward at the culmination of several successes, instead of each one individually, then check out these potty jars. You can provide your child with any sort of token (pom pom, candy, buttons, etc.), that they will then deposit into the jar after they use the potty. Mark several goals on the side of the jar and when they reach their goal, they get their treat!
Celebrate-Always.com has a great tutorial on making these jars for a variety of rewards, like chores and good behavior.

9. Punch Prizes
Sometimes you just need some tissue paper and toilet paper rolls to make potty training fun! You can create your own potty training “advent” calendar but covering toilet paper rolls with some tissue paper, and hiding surprises like candy and small toys underneath. Your kids can punch through the paper after using the potty for a sweet surprise!
If you head over to LifeKidsAndThePursuitOfSanity.com, you can see a great tutorial on making your own punch prize box, as well as tips on raising 6 kids!
