Another great way to bring the new mom some food for meals would be to bring her a bunch of freezer meals. If you’re not familiar with freezer meals, basically what they are are meals that you have easily prepared the ingredients for, then put in the freezer, and when you’re ready to make them, you throw them in the crock pot and let it cook for a few hours. It would be so nice for a new mom to have a few of those for those really rough days or nights where the last thing she wants to think about is what the family is going to eat for dinner. She can simply take the meal out of the freezer, throw it in the crockpot and have dinner ready in a few hours.
(Check out New Leaf Wellness, a great website full of healthy food for the whole family).

5. Wine
Does this really need an explanation/reason? She hasn’t been able to have wine for 9 months and would certainly enjoy a drink or two. It’ll probably taste better than it’s ever tasted before. If you want to be extra safe and put her mind at ease, bring some Milkscreen test strips just in case so she won’t have to worry if there’s too much alcohol content in her breastmilk.

6. Goodie Bag
Goodie bags are always fun, no matter what age you are, so why not make one up for the new mom? Throw in some much needed chocolate, chapstick, gossip magazines, water, and anything else she would really enjoy to have while she’s at home taking care of her new little bundle of joy. I can tell you right now I would have loved if someone brought me something like that after I gave birth to my son, especially the magazines!
