7. Nesting
You may find yourself obsessively folding itty bitty clothes, or deep cleaning the house from top to bottom. Have no fear, this is completely normal. It’s an old wives’ tale that when nesting starts, labor is soon to follow. As we wait anxiously for our little ones arrive, the deep urge to clean and prepare takes over. Whether it is excitement over your new bundle, or frustration that your little one has yet to make an appearance you can bet the need to clean will kick in.
8. You May Not Want To Leave The House
It’s totally normal that you may want to become a hermit and stay at home for the last weeks of your pregnancy. As the end draws near, leaving the house can seem like too much effort, or the fear of your water breaking in public is much too embarrassing to risk going out in public. Wherever you stand on leaving the house, just know it’s a normal feeling for your last month.
9. Everyone Wants To Help
Even before your due date has come and gone you can bet even strangers you meet want to ask you what you are doing to induce labor. People you didn’t even think you were close to will suddenly be offering completely unsolicited advice and asking if you have tried “everything.” I preferred to dodge these questions by avoiding social media and telling my well-meaning friends that “the baby will come when she’s ready.” Which really, could not be more true.
