7. Nuts & Seeds
I never knew you could store nuts and seeds in the freezer, but it turns out you can! Freezing will help preserve them and prevent your nuts and seeds from going rancid. They thaw easily and maintain their flavor. If you buy in bulk, but can’t manage to eat 4 pounds of almonds before they go bad, then this is a must!

8. Pizza Dough, Breads and Rolls
If you eat a lot of bread products in your house, you know how they tend to go bad quickly. I personally did not grow up in a home where we froze our breads, so don’t do it now. However, I know millions of people do it, so it must work out ok! Sometimes your dinner needs a little something extra, so having frozen rolls on hand is great. If you bake your own breads and dough, the freezer is another excellent place to store them, so you don’t have to make it fresh every time you want homemade pizza!

9. Homemade Sauces
If you ever make your own spaghetti sauce, you know how much MORE is made, as compared to your pasta. I hate wasting sauce, but often don’t want to eat it for 4 days straight just to avoid tossing it. Hello freezer! You can make as much sauce as you want, then divide it out into 2-3 cup servings into freezer bags or containers. Then store in the freezer and use throughout the month (it may not taste as good if you store for much longer).
