This last weekend we took my daughter to her first “real” eye exam. While I’ve always assumed she would one day need glasses (both my husband and I wear contacts and have since our childhood), it was still a little sad to hear that she’s destined for prescription eyewear in a few years. To help ease my guilt at providing her with less than stellar eye genes, I’ve done some searching and discovered that kids eyeglasses are ADORABLE. Forget those ugly frames (thanks for the memories, ’90’s!), kids glasses are more stylish than ever! Here are some of my favorite styles!
1. The Benjamin
Your hipster child’s look will be compete with a pair of these Benjamin glasses. These handmade frames are constructed in a simple, yet stylish design that works with any outfit, and they come with lenses that are 100% UV protective and shatterproof. The best part? When you purchase from Jonas Paul, they will donate a pair of glasses to a child in need!
These contemporary frames are a great way to add some color to otherwise simple frames, without worrying about them clashing with all your kids clothes. The design on the temples are funky and give some personality to your cute glasses wearer.
3. Ray-Ban Clubmaster
How cute are these horned rim style frames? Manufacturers have long since ceased using actual horn or tortoise for this style, but it’s just as popular as ever. These are perfect for your proud kid who loves wearing glasses, since the bold plastic frame is designed to stand out, not blend in.
