2. Know Your Options

Even if you are not looking for a private school, you still have a say in what public school your child attends. Just because you live next door to your district school, doesn’t mean you have no other option. Talk to your district and find out if you have the option to petition for another school. Some areas offer lottery choices to get into other schools, or you may be able to get into a magnet school.
