If you have kids and carpet, then you probably have dirty carpet. It’s just the law of the land when you have little ones eating, tracking in dirt and spilling milk and juice. No one loves the look of a dirty carpet, but as a parent, it can feel like a never ending battle to keep your carpets looking and smelling fresh. It can get pricey to pay someone to come clean your carpets, and the even more frustrating as you watch your newly cleaned rugs get new spills. Sure, you can spot treat on your own, but for some reason, those stains always come back with a vengeance. But did you know that you probably have a great carpet cleaner hidden in your garage that you never imagined- WD-40! I’ve never heard of using WD-40, but you can get I’m going to try this out on a few spots pronto! The trick is to make sure you thoroughly clean your carpet with soap and water or carpet cleaner, to remove the oily residue that may be left over. While this isn’t a solution for your entire house (that would take a bunch of WD-40 bottles!), this is great for those stains that are always in plain sight and that probably drive you crazy!
