Many people find enjoyment in the act of cleaning and organizing, but just as many find it stressful and overwhelming. Most of us mothers fall into the second category when we are in the throes of motherhood. Cleaning can seem like a never ending battle, with a new mess being made just as quick as the last one was picked up. That’s where Japanese organizer Marie Kondo comes in. She has conquered the Japanese art of organizing, and has a few tips to share on purging your life of everything that does not bring you joy. Does an old shirt bring up bad memories? Get rid of it! Do you hold on to things just because you think you should, but they really have no sentimental value? Out it goes! Watch this video to see more of the Kondo tidying method and how you can rid your life of all things unjoyful!
While some of the concepts in this video seem a little odd, I think Kondo’s overall method is simple and true. Why clutter your life with anything that does not bring you joy? Our lives are busy and full enough as it is, don’t waste your precious moments at home surrounded by junk. What do you think of this decluttering method? Have you tried it, and what was your result? We would love to hear about it in our comment section below!
