1. Welcome Basket
You’ll want your guests to feel welcomed first thing when they walk into their home away from home. A great way to make sure they feel loved and at home is to provide a welcome basket for them. The basket can include snacks and drinks so if they do get hungry late at night they won’t have to sneak out into the kitchen with the hopes of not waking anyone up. It can also include extra toiletries that they may have forgotten to pack such as shampoo, body wash, or toothpaste. You can also throw in a little note telling them how happy you are to have them staying with you. Last, but not least, don’t forget to include a “Do Not Disturb” sign that they can hang outside their bedroom door. That way you and your family will know when they are sleeping or need some privacy.

2. Beautiful Bedding
The main focal point of any bedroom is, of course, the bed! It’s the first thing people look at when they walk into a room and the first thing they want to sink into after a long day. A great way to make your guest bedroom more inviting is to really spoil the bed with some beautiful bedding. Now, I’m not saying you have to go spend a couple thousand dollars on high end sheets and pillows, but there are so many great designer discount stores that offer high end products at much lower prices. You can find some awesome deals on gorgeous bedding at stores like this from comforters, to sheets, and pillows. So, spend the extra little bit of money that you need to make the bed feel and look amazing.
3. Great Lighting
Having a room beautifully decorated only to have it poorly lit is counter productive. Your guest will not be able to enjoy the beauty of the room if there is not enough light or good enough light for them to see. Be sure to provide an open window for them, and lots of great lamps. You can use table lamps, floor lamps, and even a chandelier over the bed if you want to make the room extra stunning. Make sure that with all the lamps there is enough light for your guest to be able to read and get themselves ready in. There’s nothing worse than trying to read or put make up on when you can’t see very well.
