There are many things that change once you become a mom, and one of them is becoming bilingual. No, we don’t learn another language, per se, but we do learn that there is a different way we talk to children. Half the time, we don’t even realize we are doing it! The moms from BreakWomb have created an amazing parody of “mom speak,” and it will get you laughing. I guarantee once you watch this you will be taking a good long look at how you speak to your kids, while also chuckling a little to yourself.
Admit it, it’s funny! I must confess that while I was laughing, I also realized I don’t want to be demeaning to my daughter either. So while I got a giggle out of this, I’m going to start watching my tone of voice too!
