When you get married, the plan is for it to be forever. One of the most widely recognized symbols of marriage are wedding rings, and their origins date back thousands of centuries. Regardless of which type of material was used between then and now, wedding rings are symbolic of never ending love and commitment, just as the shape of the ring has no beginning nor end. Despite the imagery they depict, many people take their rings off at night (myself included) or for various reasons for comfort and safety. In recent years, a new fad of getting tattooed wedding rings to replace traditional rings all together or to serve in place of a ring removed has gained momentum.
