7. Furniture Vanity
Since the only piece of furniture in a bathroom is the usually the vanity, create a big impact with it. Choose a furniture style vanity that looks like a buffet or dresser. You can find these prefabricated or you can do a DIY project and turn an old piece of furniture into a vanity. You can paint it a fun color or distress it to add more character. Either way it will be bold and fun and take your small bathroom to a whole new level.

8. Mirrors, Mirrors
We all know that mirrors reflect light, which in turn make a space feel more open and bright. Even if your bathroom already has a mirror in it over the vanity, that doesn’t mean you can’t add more. Hang a large mirror on the opposing wall, or hang a cluster of small mirrors together as a gallery wall. If you have a medicine cabinet, make it a mirrored cabinet. All of these changes will make the room seem larger to the eye because of all the light being reflected around the room.

9. Ditch The Shower Curtain
If your budget allows, take down your shower curtain that is blocking the eye and breaking up the space. Instead opt for a frameless glass shower. This will allow the eye to move freely around the room without being broken up by a big, bulky, shower curtain. If you can’t get rid of the shower curtain, opt for one thats very light in color or clear and leave it open so it isn’t closing off part of the room.

10. Add A Basket To The Toilet
If you need more storage in your small bathroom, but don’t have anymore wall space for it, try adding a cute, decorative basket on the back of your toilet. Fill it with bathroom essentials that display nicely like toilet paper, towels, or magazines. It’s an easy fix since you don’t need to drill anything into your wall and still gives you an extra place to store something while still looking organized.
