5. Have Activities for the Kids
Not every houseguest you entertain will have or bring their children, but it’s just plain helpful to have some basic activities available. Coloring books, movies, games, and some basic crafts are enough to keep most kids and parents sane while visiting relatives and friends. It may also come in handy to gather some babysitting information, should you and the parents decide on a kid-free night on the town.
