4. Use The Stairs
If you want a great leg workout as well as intense cardio, hit the stairs. Who needs a stair master at the gym when you go up and down your own stairs? If you have stairs in your home run up and down them over and over. If not, head to the local strip mall or local buildings where there may be some stairs. You may have to do a little research to find some stairs, but I guarantee you’ll find some that will give you a great leg and butt workout.

5. Cycle Outside
People pay a lot of money to do cycling classes at the gym. Instead, take your bike out for free around your neighborhood. If that’s not challenging enough, find an area with some hills so you have to work a little harder as you ride around. If you don’t already own a bike, you can easily rent a bike for a few hours at very minimal cost, or ask a friend if they have an extra bike you can borrow.

6. Play Jump Rope
Lots of exercise videos and personal trainers use jump ropes as a form of working out. Pick up your kid’s jump rope, put on your sneakers and start jumping! It’s a great cardio workout and you can do multiple variations with the jump rope. Research online the different workouts you can do using your jump rope and you’ll have lots of heart pumping ideas at your finger tips.
