7. Hit The Pool
Swimming is an excellent form of exercise so hit the pool to do some laps. If you don’t have a pool, look for public pools that you can use in your area or ask your friends that have a pool if they want to join you in your swim workout. Chances are they want to exercise as well.

8. Use Household Items As Your Gym
You may not have traditional workout equipment at your home like dumb bells or weight machines, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use other items in your home to get your workout in. You can fill up some empty milk jugs with water to use as weights or use a chair to do tricep dips, etc. A great way to find other ways to use everyday items in your home as workout tools is to research it online.

9. Hit The Track
If you have a school near you, chances are they have a track that you can run on. Since it’s summer it’s probably available to use all day long, but once school’s back in session you’ll have to work around their practice times. Often times certain kinds of parks will have tracks that you can run on, too. At the track you can do relays, sprints, laps, and intervals. They may also have a stadium that you can do some running up and down on the stairs as well.

10. Phone Apps
We’ve all heard the expression, “There’s an App for that.” Well, when it comes to exercising there really is. There are numerous applications for your smart phone that you can download and use to help you workout. There may be full workouts included, just one workout move for the day, or different recipes for healthy eating. While some of these applications may cost money, many do not. Even if you do have to pay for one you want, it will most likely only be a few dollars. That’s certainly much cheaper than maintaining a gym pass every month.
