7. They Have A Facebook
It’s amazing for for grandparents to be able to connect with their children and grandchildren through social media. It’s wonderful for them to see the pictures of their family having fun and enjoying their life. On the opposite end, it’s also good for them to see when their family may be having a hard time if they post something about them being sad or having a hard day. That enables them to call their loved ones and give them support when they truly need it.
8. They Stay Active
There’s nothing more inspiring than an elderly person who stays active. I always feel motivated, as well as a little shameful of how inactive I can be, when I see someone three times my age hiking, running, or bicycling faster than me. It’s wonderful that they stay active so they can keep up with their growing and young family so they can enjoy every single minute with them.
9. They Are Generous With Their Money
One of the best things about having a really cool and amazing grandparent is when they are really generous with their money. It’s awesome when they slip you a twenty dollar bill as you hug goodbye or pay for your family’s dinner when you’re out and about. They know they won’t always be around to spoil their children and grandchildren and they do it as much as they can and it’s the best feeling to be surprised by their generousity.
10. They Offer To Spend Time With Their Grandkids
You know someone is a truly amazing grandparent when they willingly offer to spend time with their grandkids without being asked. Whether they offer to take the grandkids for the day to give mommy and daddy a break, or simply come over and spend a few hours with their grandkids, it’s wonderful that they know what life is really about, and that’s family.
