4. Books You’re Never Going To Read
Books are wonderful and everyone should have a few books lying around to read and use as reference. However, if you have stacks and stacks of books sitting in boxes that you haven’t read or looked at in a few years, donate to a library or Goodwill. You probably forgot they were in there anyways, so obviously you don’t have an attachment to them and don’t need them. Keep the books you really love to read and look at and ones that look great sitting on a bookshelf for decoration.
5. Old Electronics
I’ll be willing to bet that you have an old cell phone or portable game player lying around your house right now. You keep them because you think to yourself that you’ll maybe use them again someday. Well, I hate to break it to you, but you’re not going to use them again. Technology advances so rapidly now a days that even a cell phone that’s only a few years old is outrageously out of date. Don’t just let the electronics rot and waste away in a box. Throw them out, or better yet, recycle them, and free yourself.
6. Expired Medicine/Vitamins
If you’re house is anything like mine, you’ve got a cabinet full of medicine that you probably haven’t looked at or used in months and even years. I guarantee there is at least one bottle of expired medicine in your medicine cabinet right now. Since expired medicine is not safe to use, go ahead and throw it out. There’s no sense in letting it take up space in your cabinets.
