10. State String Art
I’m sure you’ve seen nail string art pieces similar to this one before. Personally, I love them because they’re so different from the usual pieces of art we put on our walls. Before you go out and buy one, though, look into making one yourself. It’s actually a lot easier than you may think. Plus, you can literally make any design you want, which is always a plus in my book.

11. Sunburst Mirror
Who doesn’t love a good sunburst mirror? Whether your design taste is modern or traditional, these beauties have stood the test of time and look great in any room, no matter the design aesthetic. The only downside to them is that they can get pretty pricey. Instead of splurging on one, make your own. It’s really simple to do and will cost you much less than buying one at a store. You wouldn’t even know that this is a DIY project because it looks so beautiful.

12. Blanket Ladder
I’ll admit, I’ve already put this DIY project on my list of DIY projects to do. I have been wanting one of these blanket ladders for a while now, but for some reason never thought of making one myself. I know, silly me. I love that this project is not only decorative, but functional, as well. That’s the sign of a truly great DIY project – when form and function combine to make something truly beautiful.
