7. Granola Bars
Sometimes granola bars can be packed full of sugar, but buying healthy ones or even making your own can really cut down on all the added sugar. Instead, look for ones that have only natural sugar sources like maple syrup. There are a plethora of homemade granola recipes online as well. They are perfect for on the go and throwing in your bag for when you need a little snack while you’re out shopping for those baby items.
(Check out Minimalist Baker for other great recipes that require 10 ingredients or less, one bowl, or 30 minutes or less to prepare).
8. Yogurt
Yogurt is another food that can be a little confusing when it comes to if it’s healthy or not. Try to opt for yogurt with no added sugar and try to buy greek yogurt as well. It’s better for you and has a lot more nutritional value than other yogurts. Greek yogurt is a great source of protein as well which will keep your tummy full till your next meal. It’s also nice to add homemade granola on it, sliced raw almonds or berries for some added flavor.
9. Eggs
If you’re really hungry and you’ve still got a while until your next meal, try snacking on some eggs. They are fat and protein rich which will keep your stomach fuller for longer. They are also fairly easy to make and are good even by themselves. You can make them multiple ways, as well, which keeps things a little more interesting for your snack options.
