7. Invite Friends Over
You know those friends that you’ve known for forever, but never get together with because your schedules are so busy? Well, actually plan a time to get together with them. Invite them over for pizza even if it is with all the kids. Being around old friends allows you to reminisce on old, fun times and you can talk about all the fun memories you have together. It’ll make you all laugh and remind you of how to have fun.
8. Ask Each Other Fun Questions
If you’re in the car together and it seems like there’s not much to talk about, strike up a fun converstaion by asking your spouse fun questions like, “Would you rather have orange Cheetos crumbs covering your hands for the rest of your life, or black Oreo crumbs stuck in your teeth for the rest of your life?” I know, it’s totally silly, but let’s be honest, we can all use a little more silliness in our lives. If you don’t want to get that silly, just ask questions like, what is your favorite childhood memory, or what is your most embarrassing moment? You can actually find lots of great ideas on Pinterest. It’s a great way to get to know each other better and to laugh together.
9. Surprise Each Other
There’s nothing I love more than when my husband calls me on the way home from work and tells me he has a surprise for me. Everyone loves being surprised now and again either with a gift, or a special date planned. My husband will often times buy something for me if he sees it when he’s out and about that he knows I will love. It doesn’t have to be expensive. Often times it’s my favorite candy bar, but just knowing that he was thinking of me through out his day and cared enough to buy it for me makes me feel like a million bucks.
