13. Find Ornate Mirrors And Repaint Them
One piece of decoration that really makes a room look expensive is a beautiful, large, ornate mirror. You can find these all the time at thrift stores. If you don’t like the finish on the frame, remember, you can always spray paint it to give it a little make over. If you want more of a traditional look, paint it a metallic, and for a more edgy, modern look, paint it a bold bright color.

14. Spray Paint Ugly Lamps
I’ll be honest I HATE spending money on lamps. I feel like they are so expensive for no good reason. If you have an old lamp (perhaps a family’s hand me down), or find a really pretty base, but hate the color of one from a thrift store, you can simply paint the base with spray paint. It completely transforms the lamp. The end result is beautiful and so inexpensive compared to a brand new lamp.

15. Paint Ugly Tile
Did you know you can paint ceramic tile? I didn’t either, but it makes perfect sense. I’m sure most of us have some hideous tile somewhere in our home that we absolutely hate. Well, since ripping it up and replacing it with something nicer would cost thousands of dollars, you can simply paint it instead! Not only is this a MUCH cheaper option, but the results look absolutely stunning.
