6. Get A Blow Out
I think there was a recent episode of New Girl where the girls splurged and got themselves blow outs, and how their gorgeous hair got them into all sorts of trouble. I don’t know about you, but there are few things that make me feel more pretty then having great hair, and I can never seem to replicate a professional job. Getting your hair blow dried is a nice treat that doesn’t cost as much as getting your color done, but makes you feel just as fab.

7. Catch Up On Your Favorite Show
If you’re in the mood to lounge around the house, there’s nothing wrong with that! Don’t worry about sharing the TV with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! Put on your favorite, elastic wasted pants, grab some snacks, and catch up on the last 9 episodes of The Blacklist you’ve been missing. No judgement here!

8. Take A Bath. A Long One
Even though I regularly take baths, they don’t compare to the ones pre-children. I’m constantly listening to hear if my daughter is crying and it just stresses me out. With no one home, you can enjoy that bath until the water runs cold.

9. Nap
Yes, I know this isn’t an activity, but I dare you to find a mom who doesn’t think this is a good use of your time. Most people who are told to nap when the baby does, rarely take the chance. And when they do, they spend the first hour of the nap trying to fall asleep, only to be awoken 20 minutes in. If you have plenty of time and need to catch up on one Zzzz’s, don’t be ashamed to do it with Mr. Sandman.

10. Unplug & Read
Sometimes you don’t just need a break, you need one from everything. Turn off your phone (hopefully you have a sitter you trust!), shut down your computer and don’t even touch the iPod. Just.be.alone. Pick up a good book and let your imagination run away from you for once!
