7. Camp Out
If you happen to see the clouds before you you feel the rain, grab a tent and pitch it quick! Grab some snacks and blankets and get bundled inside. You have a great view of the rain, all while staying dry!
8. Rainy Photo Shoot
Hand your kids a waterproof camera or camera with a great cover on it and send them out to take photos of the rain. Give them a checklist of things to capture, like clouds, puddles, raindrops and rainbows.

9. Make Colored Rivers and Puddles
Grab some vegetable dye, washable paint, or food coloring and head outside. Drop some of the dye in puddles or mini-streams to create rivers of beautiful colored art! Your kids will love to see how the water change the colors. It’s sure to be a great activity that will keep him occupied for a while.
