As parents we love our children, and we love spending time with them, but sometimes it can be difficult to use our time so that we actually bond with them. Life gets in the way because we’re busier than we’ve ever been before, our kids are having bad days and whining and crying, or maybe we’re just too tired to play. However, it’s important that we spend quality time with our children, not only because they need to feel of our love and affection, but because they need us to teach them about life. We also need to bond with our children so we can feel close to them and experience love. If you’re searching for some ways to truly enjoy and bond with your children, check out these 15 ideas.

1. Family Car Wash

There’s nothing better as a kid than playing in some water and getting wet. Have some fun with your kids in the water and have them help you wash your car. Get out all the sponges, soap and towels and get to work. Don’t forget to have have fun, too! Splash water on each other, throw the sponges, and spray the hose at each other. Your kids will love it!

2. Dollar Store Creativity

Kids love making things, especially when their mom or dad helps them make it. Head to the dollar store and buy some crafting supplies, then make something together. Get really creative and have fun. It’ll be so nice to work together, to plan something out, then execute it together.

3. Make Dinner Together

Kids love working in the kitchen making something, so let them join in on the fun and make dinner together. It doesn’t have to be fancy or complicated, in fact you could simply help them make a box of macaroni and cheese. They’ll love using all the kitchen utensils to stir, mix, and pour with you.
