6. Cut Down On Milk
Once babies are over 1 year old, they don’t need more than 16-24 ounces of milk per day because they should be rounding out their diet by the food they’re consuming. After 2 years old, they should be consuming 16 ounces of dairy total, which includes their intake of other dairy products like cheese and yogurt. That’s not that much! If your kids don’t want to drink milk out of the cup then fine- just don’t give them the milk. Sometimes just removing the feeding all together (such as the pre naptime bottle) is easier than trying to switch to the cup. Your child will not be going to college with their bottle, they will eventually learn to drink from a big kid cup!
