Water parks, much like their less wet amusement counterparts, are staples of the American summer. The entire family packs up the car, loads up on snacks, and get’s ready to spend a day in the sun, covered in water, and getting an endless amount of joy on giant water slides. 1. Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari (Santa Claus, Indiana)
Not only is the name of the town this water and theme park duo located in is hilariously cool, but the actual parks are indescribably fun. The water park contains 16 different attractions ranging from multiple-person waterslides to a beast-like cyclone ride. Of course, the endless free soft drinks, sunscreen, and inner-tubes are just as awesome as any ride.

2. Tropical Islands (Berlin, Germany)
The Tropical Islands indoor water park might just be the thing that finally makes you plan that trip to Germany you’ve always wanted to take. Located inside of an old airplane hanger, the indoor park houses Germany’s highest water slide as well as a plethora of other awesome features like the world’s biggest indoor rainforest and numerous spa’s. 3. Noah’s Ark (Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin)
This Wisconsin-based water park boasts as being “America’s biggest water park” and it definitely lives up to the hype. This park is full of amazing attractions that are perfect for the entire family, ranging from thrilling water slides to simple lazy rivers. This creative park definitely lives up to its Biblical moniker.

4. Happy Magic Water Cube (Beijing, China)
Probably the most beautiful water park you will ever see. Happy Magic Water Cube is a Beijing-based indoor water park built inside of the official aquatic center for the 2008 Summer Olympics. The interior is full of gorgeous, neon colored slides and water and the featured AquaLoop ride is one of the coolest attractions in Asia.

5. Schlitterbahn (New Braunfels, Texas)
Don’t let the name fool you, this hard-to-pronounce water park and resort is located right here in the United States. Featuring rides like the Master Blaster and Kinderhaven, the park has enough attractions to satisfy everyone. Whether you have a family of thrill-seekers or enjoy something more laid-back, Schlitterbahn is the perfect vacation spot.

There’s no way that a water park named after a mystical underwater kingdom could be anything less than awesome.
