4. Listening To Music
One of my favorite things to do in the car is blast my favorite music and sing at the top of my lungs. Now that I have a child, if I turn the music up too loud, my son is sure to tell me, “Too loud, mommy.” He’s also guaranteed to ask for something a little more kid friendly, like the soundtrack to his favorite Disney movie. The days of rocking out to Britney Spears are long gone, my friends.
5. Your Body
If you haven’t already figured this out, I hate to break the news to you, but after you have children, your body is NEVER the same. I used to be able to go hours and hours without having to use the bathroom, now I’m lucky if I last an hour. Ever since I had my son over 2 years ago, the skin on my arms is really dry all the time. My feet grew during pregnancy, so all my old shoes didn’t fit me anymore and I had to get bigger sizes.
6. Your Social Life
Say goodbye to your social life once you have kids. Going out with friends is never the same whether you take the kids with you, or not. If you do take the kids, you barely have any time to actually socialize with friends because you’re busy cleaning up spills, chasing after your runaway child, disciplining them, taking them to the bathroom, etc. If you don’t take the kids with you, your social life will still be affected. Instead of talking about the latest celebrity gossip or how your favorite sports teams are doing, you’ll talk about that grossest diaper you’ve ever changed, get advice on how to get your child to sleep better, or you’ll talk about the funny things they say, etc.
