4. Go For A Walk
Sometimes a little fresh air is all we need when we get stressed. When you get home after a long day, simply take a walk around the neighborhood. The fresh air combined with the exercise will help you to unwind. It will also give your mind a few minutes to detox before walking into your crazy house.
5. Listen To Calming Music
There’s something about music that speaks to our souls. After a hard day, turn on your favorite music that helps you relax and de-stress. For me, that’s music that’s a little more soothing and calming. To my husband, that’s loud, rocker music that he can scream his heart out to. It doesn’t really matter what kind of music it is, as long as you’re able to listen to it and feel the stress leave your body.
6. Watch Something Funny
They say the best medicine is laughter, and I have to admit, I think they’re right. When you’re having a bad day, sometimes the only thing that can bring us out of our funk is a joke, a funny TV show, or a tickle fight. So sit down, turn on your TV and pick the funniest TV show or movie you can think of to watch. It will certainly take your mind off of what’s really bothering you.
