4. Door Mat

Adding a cute and fun door mat is an inexpensive and easy way bring some color and design to your front porch. It’s something you can pick up today from a number of different stores and won’t cost you a fortune to buy either. Not to mention the process of putting it on your porch will be the easiest project you’ve ever done. Stay away from boring plain mats and try to buy something with a fun and colorful design so that it will pop and bring interest to the front of your home.

5. Upgrade Your Mailbox

Let’s be honest, sometimes the mailboxes on our homes can be incredibly ugly or boring. It’s often a detail on homes that is overlooked, resulting in a plain mailbox. If you can’t afford or don’t want to take it out and install a new one, you can easily update your current mailbox with some decals or paint. Write your family’s monogram, a cute quote, or the address numbers on it to make it a little more cute and less ugly. Again, this is a simple update that can be done in a matter of hours, but will certainly help make your house look more like a home.

6. Spruce Up Your Lights

Often times the lighting around the outside of our home gets forgotten, leaving it to tarnish and rust. If you’re lights are in need of some serious TLC, clean them up a bit and it’ll look like you’ve installed completely new lighting. It’s a very inexpensive and easy way to update the front of your home not to mention that it will also make your home look newer and less tired. So get out your cleaning gloves, and some rags and get scrubbing.
