As a parent, there’s nothing harder than being away from your child for a long period of time. It’s hard not to be able to hug them, kiss them, and spend time with them. It’s also just as hard on the child to be away from their parents as well. For young kids to go through life while they’re mom or dad is deployed is extremely hard. They have to grow up and learn things on their own as they make friends, possibly get girlfriends or boyfriends, struggle through school, and so much more. This young boy was surprised by his mom who had just returned from a tour over seas and his reaction is not only priceless, but touching as well.
How beautiful was that reunion? He certainly received the surprise of a lifetime at his basketball game. You can see and feel the love in this family. We wish them all the happiness in the world.
