17. Go Green
Adding plants to your bedroom might seem like a quick way to kill your plants, but it can help spruce up your bedroom with little to no effort. Find some plants that thrive in low light or can be placed in your bedroom windowsill to get the sunlight they need.
Some plants can clean the air while you sleep, and others, like lavender and jasmine, have been shown to help you sleep as well. Going green adds a bit of life to your bedroom.
18. Get Moving
Don’t spruce up your bedroom and then leave all your furniture in the same spot that it was in before. Even moving your bed a few inches in one direction or another can help refresh the room in your mind and make it feel new again.
Try rearranging your furniture to make the most of your space or just to make it feel more comfortable. Plus, moving your furniture can help you oust dust bunny colonies that might have otherwise been missed.
19. Bedding Makeover
New bedding can be a cheap and effective way to refresh your bedroom — there’s nothing quite like sliding between cool new sheets. Feel free to mix and match sheets, blankets and pillows to get the look you’re most comfortable with. Skip the bed in a bag — they’re great for kids and college dorms, but that’s not the look you’re going for, is it? Experiment, take chances, and feel free to make your own look!
