It’s been said that the mind forgets but the heart doesn’t. Married for 60 years, Melvyn has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and that was not easy for his wife Doris. Some days, he barely recognizes his wife but one morning, Melvyn proved to his wife that the man she married for years is still there. Melvyn wandered away, in search of flowers for Mother’s day, unbeknownst to his wife. It was Melvyn’s yearly promise to bring flowers to his wife since the birth of their first child and he wasn’t going to let Alzheimer’s stop him now.
