The moment is here. You’ve just taken a pregnancy test and it’s time to look at the results. As you glance down at the test and see a positive result a million emotions and thoughts rush through your head. There is so much to do before a baby comes. Diapers to buy, furniture to baby proof, a nursery to set up, etc. Luckily, we’ve rounded up the top 10 things you should do when you find out you’re pregnant. Doing all of these things will help you tremendously as you work through the next 9 months of your life.

1. Take A Picture

Once you find out you’re pregnant, you’ll want to document what you look like before your belly starts growing. Then, as your baby and belly grow over the next 9 months you can continue to take pictures to see how much your body is changing. It’ll be fun to look back and see this progress and to show your future little one when they grow up.

2. Download A Pregnancy App

There are so many pregnancy apps out there that you can download to your phone or tablet. It will allow you to follow along each week to see what is happening to your baby. It’ll tell you how big your baby is during that week, provide pregnancy forums so you can discuss topics with other soon to be moms, and so much more. Every little bit of extra information you can take in about being pregnant will help give you peace of mind as you experience new things. We have a great list of pregnancy apps right here.

3. Take A Prenatal Vitamin

As soon as you find out you’re pregnant you’ll want to start taking a prenatal vitamin. Your baby needs extra nutrients in order to grow and taking a prenatal vitamin will ensure that they are getting what they need to grow their bodies. You can purchase these at almost any drugstore. Check with your doctor to see if they recommend any particular kind. If your new pregnancy feelings make you unable to swallow pills, there are also prenatal gummies that you can chew instead.
