4. Donate Old Clothes & Shoes

Go through your children’s closets with them and have them pick out clothes and shoes that no longer fit.  Put them in a bag and as a family take them to a local homeless shelter.  Make sure to explain to your children why you are donating clothes and shoes.  It’s important for them to understand that there are less fortunate people in the world and that they are very lucky to have all the things they have.
