6. Donate Canned Goods

Explain to your children that there are many people in this world that don’t have enough food to eat and don’t even know where their next meal will come from.  Tell them that they can help out by donating canned goods.  Have your kids help you round up some extra canned goods in your pantry or, if needed, take them to the store and buy some canned goods, then take them to a local food bank.
