5. Be an Example
I feel like this always makes it into our lists, but no one can argue how important it is for us to be role models to our kids. You don’t have to be Mrs. Clean but having a place (or region) that everything in your home will go a long way. Keep your own office and hobbies organized to set an example. I once had a friend who often complained about how her mother was so strict on keeping her house clean. Now as another of 2 she sees those lessons as invaluable, since she’s able to smoothly maintain her home. There’s nothing wrong with having a simple organizational plan, like keeping tons of baskets around to reduce the appearance of clutter. Just find something that works for you!
