2. Find a Pediatrician
Once your baby is born, your selected pediatrician will come visit you in the hospital, usually the day after birth and then before you are discharged. When selecting a pediatrician, feel free to ask your OBGYN and friends who they recommend. It’s not necessary to interview your choices in person, but you can call the office to ask questions on things that are important to you such as immunization policies. Also ensure that your pediatrician has “rights” to your birthing hospital, otherwise a more “generic” doctor will do your initial visits.
