8. Keep it Quick
When the time comes for you to address your child’s behavior, either mid or post tantrum, say your peace and move on. Your child’s attention span will not extend far beyond what they are feeling at that moment. Address their behavior, set your expectations, and get back to (hopefully) having fun with your kids. Use brief sentence in a commanding voice, such as “No screaming” and “you need to calm down.”
