7. Extra Outfit
Don’t leave home without one. Seriously. And this rule never really changes even when your babe gets bigger. If it’s not a new born blow out, it’s half a juice box down their shirt or a lunch time fiasco. I also love any all-in-one options when packing an additional outfit. I don’t have the energy to find 2 cute and matching outfits in one day, do you?

8. Water Bottle
As mama’s we can be so busy taking care of our little ones we tend to forget about ourselves. It’s super important to stay hydrated, not only will this help give you more energy and feel better, it’s also vital for those nursing mama’s to help maintain your milk supply.

9. Snacks
It might be awhile before you are packing snacks for your newborn babe, but it’s always a good idea to have something tucked away for yourself when hunger strikes. If you are nursing it’s important to keep up your calories, but even if you are not, it might take a while to get back to a normal eating routine after being pregnant. I find carrying a healthy snack in my diaper bag stops my from making indulgent choices, like stopping for donuts.
