7. Eat Small Meals All Day Long
Eating too much food at once is one of the biggest culprits of getting heartburn, especially when you’re pregnant and don’t have much room down there anyways. Instead of eating a few large meals, eat smaller meals all day long. This will keep your stomach full enough to keep you comfortable, but not too full to upset your digestive tract.
8. Eat Almonds
Almonds are one of the many foods that are great for digestion. Their high oil content actually soothes and dilutes the acid in your stomach, therefore making heartburn less likely to occur. Eat a handful with each meal or when you feel heartburn coming on to help soothe the symptoms.
9. Ice Cream
I’ve heard from many people and multiple websites that ice cream, and dairy, can help soothe heartburn. It makes me quite excited actually. I’ll use any excuse I can get to eat more ice cream! However, do be careful when consuming dairy when pregnant, because for many women it can have the adverse effect and actually cause heartburn if consumed in large amounts.
