10. Kills Lice

Lice isn’t something I like to think about often but I’m pretty sure it will be a reality once my daughter hits elementary school. Lice are little parasites that make their home on your child’s hair, and applying a generous amount of olive oil to the scalp if they contract them can help suffocate the little buggers. It’s also reported to wither away their exoskeleton and kill them off. This treatment only really works on adult lice, not their eggs. To find out more on this method, head over to HeadLiceCenter.com.

11. Diaper Rash & Dry Skin Reliever

Dry skin is the worst, and especially if its on your sweet baby’s bottom. Use a small amount of olive oil on diaper rash or other dry areas, to treat burning and irritated skin. You can also try this on other severe skin conditions like psoriasis.

12. Stop Hairballs

You may love your furry friends but I’m pretty sure you don’t love hairballs. Though they are gross, they are a natural part of a cats life and pretty much inevitable. Make it easier on you and your cat by adding about a 1/4 TSP of olive oilonce a day to their food. It should help regulate and smooth things out, if you know what I mean!
