7. You May Have Doubts Or Regrets
I remember the first day after we came home from the hospital I was nursing my son in his nursery when I just felt completely overwhelmed and stressed out. It felt like all I did was feed him and it was really tiring me out. I broke down in tears and just sobbed and kept thinking to myself, “What have I done? What did I get myself into?” My mom heard me crying and came in and assured me that what I was feeling was natural. Your body and life goes through a lot of changes when a baby is born and it’s natural to question these things. Don’t feel bad if you do because it doesn’t make you a bad mom. Just know that it’s not the end of the world and it really does get easier. Your hormones will level out more and more every day and you and your baby will figure each other out.
8. You May Not Feel Connected To Your Baby Right Away
You always hear stories of women who see their baby for the first time and feel an instant connection and love. While this does happen for many women, don’t be scared or sad if it doesn’t happen to you. It can be hard to feel connected to a strange looking baby you just met for the first time. Don’t get down on yourself if you are feeling this way. Many women have this same feeling and it’s nice to know that it will go away. Give it some time and pretty soon you will be head over heals in love with your baby and won’t be able to get enough of them.

9. Everyone Will See Your Breasts
Since your baby is literally nursing almost twenty for hours a day (at least that’s what it feels like) you’re going to have to nurse in front of all the nurses at the hospital, your husband, your mom, and all the visitors that come to see your new baby as well. I had so many visitors come right in the middle of a nursing or pumping session and it’s hard to cover up if you don’t already have a nursing cover. I recommend getting a nice nursing cover to avoid this, otherwise you will have way too many people that have seen your lady parts up there.
